2022 Region 8
Youth Team Tournament
It is that time of year again. The Regional Youth Team Tournament (RYTT) program is ready to go for 2022. A few changes have occurred in the program over the past few years that you may not be aware of.
First, the AHYA RYTT Program. The fee is now $20 per team. Each Team must pay the fee in order for shows to count. In the AHA Sanctioned Division, points can be earned at any AHA Recognized show, USEF Recognized/rated classes and Local Competition Member Shows or EC Recognized Show. Only one (1) Regional Show may be counted, but it can be any Regional Show, not necessarily the Region 8 Championship Show (although I hope that you attend this Show!). Scottsdale counts, so if you are planning on showing there, you need to get your RYTT Official Registration Form to me ASAP, before the show starts.
Second, the R8 RYTT Program. There is no fee to participate. There are three (3) Divisions: (1)18 & Under Teams - Recognized Shows (AHA and/or USEF), (2) 18 & Under Teams - Non-recognized Shows and (3) Walk/Trot 10 & Under. Any show held within Region 8 or in any adjoining Region (i. e. - Regions 6, 7, 9, 10 and 11). The exception to this are Competitive Trail and Endurance Trail rides can be held anywhere in the Continental United States. Only 1 Regional Championship Show will count. If you show at more then 1 Regional Championship Show, you can send me the results from all of them, but only the best will count. The AHYA RYTT Official Registration Form is also the Registration Form for R8 RYTT. Mark Yes or no in the upper right corner.
In 2021, 2 Teams registered for both the AHYA RYTT and R8 RYTT. However, no one sent in any Tally Sheets with classes and placings, so no points were awarded in either program. Please remember to send me your results from each show in a timely fashion. I need to forward them on the AHA within 45 days of the show.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
